Ok, I admit I am a big fan of Joel Rosenberg’s political thrillers, and anxiously await The First Hostage, set to release tomorrow.

Why am I so intrigued?  Simply because his books typically carry a theologically sound and plausible look at today’s events, while imagining what end time events might look like in view of current world happenings.

The First Hostage is the second in a trilogy (following The Third Target), and imagines a series of devastating attacks by ISIS that threatens western powers. The Third Target concluded with an attack in Amman Jordan, leaving world leaders (including the US President) either critically wounded or missing. The First Hostage is set to pick up the story at that point.
