As if there were ever any doubt as to the validity of Ezekiel’s prophecy that Russia and Iran will one day form a coalition to invade and attempt to destroy Israel, we are seeing increasingly obvious signs of the evil coalition building.  Indeed, chapters 38-39 of Ezekiel describe the War of Gog and Magog, and Russian president Vladimir Putin is very “Gog-like.”

Additionally, Isaiah 17 describes the total destruction of Damascus Syria.  News of Russia’s sudden movement of aircraft, tanks, and other battle weapons to Syria, in support of the Iranian-backed Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria, sets the stage for both prophecies to be fulfilled.  Many Bible scholars now believe that the destruction of Damascus will be the flame that ignites the red storm, known as the Northern Invasion, from the “remote parts of the north.”  (Ezekiel 38:15)  We cannot be dogmatic, but yet, do you get the sense that things could be falling into place?

May I challenge you to something?  Stop right now and read Ezekiel 38-39.  (Read it straight through, in one sitting.)  Then, read Czar Putin makes his move into Mideast.  I don’t believe you can read that passage and that news without coming to the conclusion that we are living in the last days!
