As we celebrate Israel’s independence today, I think it is also pertinent to consider our own nation in a sobering way.  Most agree that America is on the wrong track morally, socially and spiritually, and a faithful watchman will sound the alarm!  That is being done.

Anne Graham Lotz has initiated “Mayday! Mayday! A Distress Call for Prayer” beginning tomorrow.  This 9-day prayer initiative corresponds to the days between Jesus’s ascension into heaven and the Day of Pentecost.  In Acts, we’re told that the Holy Spirit fell upon believers at Pentecost, and I think we need a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit today, don’t you?
