Dear friends, the Lord has spoken…and spoken again…and confirmed through many. Our nation is in deep trouble. Immorality is rampant, churches and Christians are walking away from God’s Word, and our nation is void of true leadership (much less Godly leadership). In my personal study of end time events, I simply cannot get out of 2 Timothy 3:1-5:
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power.
Sadly, if that passage doesn’t describe our country today, I don’t know what does. For weeks I have yearned (and prayed) for the Lord to guide me to do something. I’m willing, but feel helpless. But yesterday, I believe the Lord validated my concern and provided direction.
Joel Rosenberg has joined forces with Anne Graham Lotz in calling us to a concentrated time of prayer. I join that call. Please take time to read Joel Rosenberg’s commentary and Anne Graham Lotz’s call to prayer on May 15-23.
Friends, as believers, we simply cannot sit by and do nothing. God is a gracious God, and I believe He wants to pour out His mercy on our nation. But even more so, He wants to hear from us. It is time to cry out to Him.
Unashamedly, I’m riding the coattails of Joel Rosenberg and Anne Graham Lotz. They will reach multitudes that I can never reach. But I can reach you! Will you join me as I join them? Sign up for Anne Graham Lotz’s prayer initiative to receive prayer points…then join hundreds of thousands who will pray in unison for our country!
