Though Israel agreed to the Egyptian-proposed ceasefire to begin at 9:00am this morning, Hamas responded with over 20 rockets fired into Israel.  Thus, the IDF has resumed targeting and attacking terrorist sites in the Gaza Strip.

It does not appear that Hamas is willing to strike a peace deal, though there is no way they can “win” in the conflict with Israel.  So, what’s the point?  As long as Hamas can get Israel to attack, they stir animosity in the Arab world and they gain international sympathy.  Already some world leaders are beginning to urge Israel to stop their campaign against terrorist targets in Gaza.

So, while Hamas takes no aim at military targets, but at populated areas in Israel, world opinion is turning toward condemnation of Israel for taking precisely-targeted aim at known terrorists targets…and will be condemned for it.  As the Bible indicates…Israel will indeed stand alone in the last days.

Friends, our nation may turn its back on Israel, but as believers, we must stand firm in our support of her.  Not because Israel is perfect, but because God has said, “Those who bless Israel, I will bless.  Those who curse Israel, I will curse.”  (Genesis 12:3)  Bless Israel with your prayers today, dear saints!
