Breaking News: Gaza Rocket Attacks Draw Response from IDF

In response to weekend rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Defense Forces have successfully targeted 12 terrorist sites inside the Gaza Strip.  One rocket fired from Gaza hit a plastics factory in Sderot, injuring three people.

After striking three underground rocket launchers in central Gaza on Saturday night (in response to the attack on Sderot), the Israel Air Force conducted additional airstrikes only hours ago (early-Sunday morning in Israel), taking out nine additional targets, including weapon manufacturing sites, terror sites, and underground rocket launchers.  Security forces confirmed successful hits on those targets.

The Israeli Air Force is one of the world’s elite air forces.  Small, but powerful!

Interesting fact about Israeli jets:
The Israeli Air Force flies American-made F-16’s (among other aircraft), though they are significantly different than F-16’s flown by the United States Air Force.  When Israel purchases aircraft from America, they purchase only the basic aircraft.  Then they modify the aircraft to include their own navigation and weapon control systems, thus converting them to F-16i’s!  Why?  Because their electronic equipment is considered superior to that of the US!

Indeed, Israel is definitely world-class when it comes to electronics and aviation control systems.  Perhaps we should make a deal to purchase their control systems in return for selling them our jets!
