Hi Friends! Are you ready for a challenge?
The apostle Peter, despite all his foibles and failings, came to know Jesus as Messiah. God stretched Peter well beyond his comfort zone at times, but the end result was a disciple who was truly committed to His Savior, and who said this:
5 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. 17 For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
~1 Peter 3:15-17
Always be ready to share the hope that is in you! That is our mission…our calling. Timothy went a step further:
2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
~2 Timothy 4:2
Sharing God’s Word leaves many of us in an uncomfortable place. Yet, it is in the midst of that place the Lord is doing something mighty in our own lives.
Hear about how God worked in Peter’s life to bring him to that place of readiness. Then notice: this is how the Gospel first went out to the Gentiles! Had Peter not been bold enough to push through the uncomfortable place, who knows where we Gentiles would be.
Friends, that is Dr Erez Soref, our leader at ONE FOR ISRAEL! He, too, understands what it means to push through the uncomfortable in order to bless Israel and others with Jesus! Let’s follow the example of these Godly men!
