At sundown yesterday, Jews around the world entered the feast season with the commencement of Passover. It is, perhaps, the most hallowed of all Jewish feasts and even non-religious Jews commemorate the exodus from exile in Egypt.
As believers in Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, we understand that Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of Passover by becoming the Passover Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Friends, that Passover Lamb gave His life for your sins and mine. In a few days, Christians will celebrate Resurrection Day (Easter Sunday). We acknowledge the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, but have you realized the roots of our celebration are Jewish?
I encourage you to take 28 minutes to hear 3 short vignettes that illustrate the Jewish roots of our Resurrection Day celebration! May it bless you in your faith as we look toward Easter Sunday.
