Within the last 2 hours, Israel has launched preemptive airstrike, being called The Lion’s Roar, on Iran and a state of emergency has been declared throughout Israel. The US has dubbed it Operation Epic Fury.

Smoke rising over Tehran and other Iranian cities, and it is reported that the palace of Iran’s Supreme Leader has been attacked. (The ayatollah was reportedly taken out of Tehran and transferred to a secure compound.) Senior Iranian leaders have reportedly been killed in strikes as well. It was also just reported that the US has also carried out strikes in collaboration with Israel, including Tomahawk missiles (and likely others) fired from US airbases and at least one aircraft carrier, aimed primarily at Iran’s military infrastructure.

Some are reporting it is likely that strikes within the first 24 hours will surpass those during the duration of the entire 12-day war, and at least two nuclear facilities have been hit in Qom and Bushehr. Other targets are said to be the Iranian Intelligence Ministry, the Iranian Defense Ministry, the Office of the Ayatollah Khamenei, and the Iranian Atomic Energy Agency.

• In a statement to the Israeli public, PM Netanyahu stated the Israeli-US joint action will create conditions for brave Iranians to take their fate into their own hands. Trump’s statement echoed that.
