America Needs Prayer – Will You Join In?

Friends, as America approaches its 250th birthday, we have much to celebrate. Public officials often end their speeches with “May God bless the United States of America.” And He has. No other country in history was founded upon solid Biblical principles and guided by a Constitution that guarantees God-granted freedoms, and demands accountability from the bottom up. We have much to be grateful for because God has honored our pleas for His blessing.

But God is no genie in a bottle. In fact, a loving God must also be holy and just if He is to remain loving. It is not loving to allow evil to run rampant without consequences. America, in large part, is doing just that. Our nation has turned her back on the God whose blessings we have yearned for and received. God is a gentleman. He will not force Himself upon us…we must choose to submit to Him personally and as a nation. Many personally submit to Him, but our nation is failing to do so. As a result, we are jeopardizing our nation and God’s blessing upon it.

We need prayer. If America is to remain the land of the free and the home of the brave, individuals and our nation as a whole must turn back to Him.

Tomorrow at 7:00am Eastern (5:00am in Arizona), the Family Research Council and Real Life Network are partnering to bring American Christians together in prayer. Please consider joining this effort. Click below for details.

Real Life Network (a ministry of Jack Hibbs) requires a subscription, but it is free and offers volumes of family-friendly programming. The link above will take you there, or you can login directly to Real Life Network at the time of broadcast to participate live. If you are in the DC area, register and attend live via this link.

“America is in a mess, but what can I do?” Do you ever hear that question? This is your chance to do something. Prayer is powerful, and when we gather together across our great land to pray, we can expect God to hear us. I know it’s early and terribly inconvenient…but Jesus died a very inconvenient death to save us from our sins. I’m joining in…will you do the same?
