Tis the season….

While I would like to think Christmas is immune to woke absurdity, I’m reminded that radical wokeness seems to never take a break. I would also like to think that, especially at Christmastime, churches would portray themselves at least somewhat appropriately. When it comes to nativities, it would be nice if Jesus and his family were portrayed Biblically.

But instead, we find churches making a mockery of Jesus’ birth. For the most part, they are the same churches flying gay pride flags and touting the praises of BLM. The Holy Spirit has abandoned such places and Satan has a heyday. Unfortunately, they are “church” in name only.

The church referenced in the article below represents hundreds of other churches (or so-called churches) in America and elsewhere who have no regard for Scripture. Their worship is of people and things abhorrent to God’s Word.

More and more, even in conservative areas of the city in which I live, I find purely demonic holiday decorations, beginning with Halloween and continuing through Christmas. Somehow skeletons and horrid, evil looking creatures have made their way into popular holiday decor.

At this time of year, we must remember that we live in a fallen world, but the Savior whose birth we celebrate has come to redeem even the most hardened radical. Those of this world have no moral compass, so why should we expect them to act anyway other than worldly? For those who deny God, their only alternative is to position themselves as god of their own lives, doing evil in the sight of the Lord.

Friends, pray for the culprits in your neighborhood who do not know and recognize the Savior of the world, whom we celebrate. Pray for those who denigrate nativities and destroy all that is beautiful. Our nation and our world are quickly spiraling downward and the only hope is Jesus!

May the miracle of Jesus’ birth, portrayed in nativities around the world, be a stark reminder to all that Jesus was born to be our Savior. Despite it all, celebrate Jesus this Christmas!
