Hi friends, I’m a fan of Aaron Shust, an award-winning American Christian musician and lover of Israel. I was blessed in 2018 to be present as he debuted his now famous song, Zion. It was written and performed to celebrate Israel’s 70th anniversary as a nation, and it later became a hit. I heard it live again a couple years ago at an Israel-related event in which he led worship. It is very moving, and each time I hear it, I am reminded of God’s promise to bring His people back home to Zion, the land of Israel.
Recently, Aaron joined Shilo Ben Hod, a Messianic Jewish worship leader in Israel, on the grounds of the Nova Festival, attacked so heavily by Hamas on October 7, 2023. There, Aaron and Shilo performed the re-make of Zion, meant to honor the return of hostages. Indeed, God has brought them back home!
God never loses sight of His uniquely called people or their land. Praise God the hostages are home. Let’s make today a day of praise and worship to the God of Israel who brought home the captives, and who sacrificed Himself for our salvation. Enjoy the Zion remix!
