As believers, it is essential to know and understand the significance of Israel, and why God commands us to pray for them, stand with them and support them. Israel is falling out of favor in today’s world, but God uniquely called them, and Israel will ultimately be the litmus test for the world and for the church. Genesis 12:3 provides a distinct mandate for us as individuals to bless Israel, and Joel 3:2 warns of God’s judgment upon nations based on how they treat Israel.

We are living in evil days. Israel is hated and blamed for atrocities, though they are the ones constantly under attack by radical Islamists. Right is called wrong and wrong is called right. The nations, and even Christians, are turning their backs on Israel while believing all the lies of Satan himself. Unless we understand Israel’s significance and the importance of supporting the Jewish nation, believers risk the consequences of a just God. He will one day avenge the wrongs done to His uniquely called people, and we will answer for standing idly by unless we discover God’s mandate for us and heed it!

Tuesday August 26, 2025, will be a special night in which we will fix our focus on Israel. In a presentation entitled, Why Israel Matters, we will lay a Biblical foundation of understanding Israel’s significance. We will also examine God’s instructions regarding how Christians are to relate to the Jewish people.

Just as God gave the Jews a mandate, so He has given the church a mandate as well. Do you know what those mandates are? Come find out…and discover God’s plan for both Israel and the church!
