President Donald Trump is now back in the White House. With Inauguration Day falling on a national holiday in America, I did what many Americans likely did: I tuned into coverage of what may go down as the most significant Inauguration Day in our lifetime. We got our country back and Israel got their greatest ally back!
While we watched evil exit the door with stab-after-stab on the American people, we also welcomed a president who not only made promises but fulfilled many of them before laying his head on a White House pillow at the end of the day. On the way out the door, Biden chose to pre-emptively pardon shady family members and government officials who did nothing but put America on the verge of destruction.
There is an air of excitement among those who long for common sense to return to the hallowed halls of Washington DC. It is not going to be perfect, but we are already on track to right a ship that has been falling off kilter for 4 long years.
Here is what strikes me at the heart. President Trump has already committed to do what is necessary to bring Israeli hostages home and unleash the IDF to do what is necessary to protect the state of Israel.
Due to miserably cold weather, inauguration festivities were moved indoors, including the inaugural parade. Sitting on the front row were families of Israeli hostages, including Noa Argamani, one of the hostages returned in November 2023. Among all the major initiatives put forth during Inauguration Day, Donald Trump carved out time to meet with the families and honor them during the “parade” event inside the large arena in Washington DC. They were brought on stage and prominently seen during Trump’s speech at that event.
Resolving the quagmire in the Middle East is never an easy task, but if any world leader is able to cut a deal to get all hostages home, it is President Trump and his team. Friends, Israel has a friend back in the White House. Now is the time to pray fervently for wisdom and boldness to pressure Hamas and their supporting countries to release hostages.
Finally, our small ON MISSION team going to Israel in 3 weeks will be there during a phase of hostage release. May God grant us opportunities to encourage those we encounter in Israel. Will you pray?
