I am so very grateful for followers committed to loving Israel and her Messiah! It is a blessing to communicate with you each day concerning Israel and hopefully to bring encouragement and unity as we follow the Biblical mandate to support Israel.
There is so much going on right now: the ceasefire-hostage deal, the inauguration of perhaps the most pro-Israel administration in American history, and of course, a fast-approaching solidarity trip to Israel.
Regarding upcoming posts, tomorrow will be a special call to prayer for the hostage release. One cannot imagine the emotions of Israelis as they long for the release of loved ones but disdain the release of Palestinian terrorists. I will attempt to guide us through prayer tomorrow.

Then, beginning Monday, we will post daily lessons from a short (3-week) Bible study/devotional written to prepare our group going to Israel to serve the people there. This is your invitation to join us as we join God in His work in Israel. Your prayers and encouragement are vital to the work we know He has called us to, so please follow along with the exact same study our group will go through prior to our trip.
On February 14, we head to Israel! This is not a typical Israel tour, but rather a solidarity trip in which our mission is to go and serve those in need. We have been invited to participate in incredible projects, and our mission is to reflect the love of Jesus to those we serve.
The theme of our trip is ON MISSION with God. We are determined to see where He is at work and join Him there! We invite you to come along as well! There are three ways for you to do that:
- Please pray for us! The projects we participate in will put us in direct engagement with Israelis. Whether sheltered women, IDF soldiers, hurting families around the Gaza Strip or displaced families in the north, we will be the representation of Jesus.
- Pray for yielded hearts and minds to cheerfully and faithful fulfill the tasks He puts before us.
- Pray that open, tender hearts of Israelis will be encouraged to consider Jesus as Messiah.
- Pray for our safety. None of us have a drop of fear in going to Israel. God is blessing the efforts of the IDF, and Hamas and Hezbollah are reduced to leaderless bad guys who are not capable of rising up in force. Also, each of us has acknowledged the fact that God has called us there and He will protect us. But safety anywhere in the world is essential. We’ll spend time driving in a foreign country, for example.
- Pray for provision for those going. We’re all committed and believing God’s provision is sufficient. Please pray to that end.
- Journey with us virtually! I’ll be posting updates from Israel and, assuming all goes well technologically, I’m hoping to share some videos as well. Some updates may make it to Facebook, but this blog will be the primary source of info from Israel. Feel free to comment or message us. We would cherish your encouragement!
- Consider contributing financially to the work that is happening in Israel. Recently, I featured Pastor Saleem Shalash and the work being done at Home of Jesus the King Church in Nazareth. But here’s what you don’t know: Pastor Saleem’s team will be preparing boxes of cleaning supplies for the residents of Kiryat Shmona (in the north) as they return to their homes. Our small group will be working in Kiryat Shmona as well, helping to encourage those families, and preparing food for IDF soldiers serving in southern Lebanon!
Will you consider joining us in God’s work by supporting something WE WILL BE DOING?
Through the link provided, your generous gift will be tax deductible (in the US and Canada), and you will be right there in Israel with us, ministering the love of Jesus! Home of Jesus the King Church is planning to provide cleaning supplies to at least 300 families, each box costing about $50. Let’s put a dent in that $15,000 need!
