Hey friends, I don’t want to pop anyone’s bubble, but are we celebrating the actual day of Jesus’ birth? Most everyone has heard the question asked, and many believe the birth of Jesus was not on December 25. However, if that is the case, do you have a well-founded case for a different date? You might be surprised if you go back in Jewish history to look for clues!
To offer a plausible explanation based on what we know from Scripture is well-known Bible-believing historian, Bill Federer. Be mindful that his answer is based on Jewish references. After all, if you want to know about the Jewish Messiah, it is best to go back to Jewish history!
Read Bill’s explanation here, or listen to his podcast explaining the date and many other Christmas traditions here.
Regardless, we celebrate His birth on December 25, whether or not we can prove its accuracy.
Merry Christmas!
