Hi friends! I hope you enjoyed the summaries from the Epicenter Briefing I shared over the past 4 days. It was such an incredible experience, though words simply fail to adequately describe the impact of both the trauma still being felt by many Israeli families and the wonderful things the Lord is doing amongst them. Joel Rosenberg and the team at The Joshua Fund did a fantastic job of pulling back the curtain on all that is happening in the Epicenter (Israel and surrounding nations) to give us a peak. It certainly makes me want to bless Israel.
Some of you may have a similar passion and perhaps there is a legitimate way to discover those things firsthand for yourself and to play a small part in the Kingdom work God is doing there. Lord willing, I plan to go to Israel one way or another! I will either lead my February 2025 tour, take a smaller group on a “solidarity trip” to minister the love of Jesus, or I’ll just roll up my sleeves alone and serve those in need. (Or maybe some combination of the first two.) There are dozens of projects and a myriad of ways to encourage Israelis who, as a whole, feel abandoned by the world. As a Christian who stands with Israel, it seems natural to go in the name of Jesus to love and care for our Israeli friends.
The regular tour has capacity for about 35, but a solidarity tour would likely be limited to only 12-15 people who share the burden of blessing those in the Epicenter. It would also likely span only about 10 days (including travel). A regular tour would be a bit longer and would include mostly sightseeing with a few stops to minister in various ways. A solidarity trip would be primarily serving, with a stop or two at especially meaningful sights if time and logistics allow.
If you or someone you know is interested in either option, please contact me at Looking4theBlessedHope@gmail.com. Either way, opportunities will arise to share the love of Jesus in tangible ways to those who are weary and heavy laden. I would love for you to join me!
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins,
They shall raise up the former desolations,
And they shall repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations.
5 Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks,
And the sons of the foreigner
Shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
