Dear fellow Americans, it is beyond time to awaken. It is beyond time to stop believing Islamism is a problem in Israel and the Middle East. It is beyond time that believers in Jesus Christ turn fully to Him in trust and obedience.

College campuses have long been breeding grounds for radical thought. Progressivism has given way to radical Islamism. What has grown out of the Petry dish of “tolerance” has become a large Sharia movement. Lit on college campuses and fueled by hundreds of thousands of migrants who disdain America and want to see her destroyed, Islamism is no longer hidden in dark shadows, but has boldly burst into the light. We see it, not only in protests in places like Washington DC, NYC, Philadelphia and most other major cities, but also in public declarations and rants. Meanwhile, the inept US administration does absolutely nothing to curb (much less eliminate) the threat. Instead, they invite it.

Need evidence? There are many examples, but let’s start with this preacher of evil on the campus of the University of Illinois-Chicago:

Friends, we don’t know whether or not there is hope for America on the horizontal plane. But we know for certain there is hope for every person on the vertical plane. The little-known prophet, Nahum wrote: The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him. (Nahum 1:7) Indeed, in our days of trouble, the Lord God is our stronghold. We can trust Him.

I also think of the Lord’s words to Joshua as he was commissioned to lead the Hebrew people:

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
~Joshua 1:9

To those who are obedient to His calling, Jesus also promises: …lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20)

He is our stronghold….He is with us wherever we go…even to the end of the age. We serve a risen Savior whose faithfulness to us will never waver. Therefore, we have no fear as we press forward in God’s loving care for us.

Our HOPE is in the vertical plane, our relationship with Jesus Christ. Our RESPONSIBILITY is on the horizontal plane. God’s Word is replete with instructions about how we are to live in relationship to God and to others. We are also told how to conduct ourselves in every area of life.

“Every area” includes how we engage and influence our culture. We must fight for Biblical values. While finding our HOPE in the vertical, we exercise our RESPONSIBILITY in the horizontal by fighting against that which contradicts God’s Word. Radical Islamism contradicts God’s Word and our primary weapon is prayer. We should definitely pray against the evil schemes of Satan. But we must also fulfill our God-given privilege to vote our values. There are candidates who stand against radical Islamism. Do your part by voting for those candidates.

To be sure, radical Islamism targets Israel, but now (having invaded Europe) it has infiltrated America. First, they come for the Saturday people (Jews), then they come for the Sunday people (Christians)
