Hi friends! I heard something incredibly refreshing a few days ago. A Canadian politician spoke out boldly on behalf of Israel!
I don’t know how closely you follow political affairs in Canada but suffice it to say that under the rule of current Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Canada has become one of the most liberal governments in the world both domestically and in foreign policy. They are certainly no friend of Israel.
However, it appears Conservative Party Leader (and Opposition Leader) Pierre Poilievre will run for Prime Minister in the next election, which appears to be 2025. (I’ll leave it to my Canadian friends to correct me if I’m off target!) I know nothing more about Mr Poiliever than what a few minutes of quick research has given me, but here is what caught my attention to begin with:
What a breath of fresh air blowing from the north! Can you imagine if America and Canada once again began to stand for Israel? What a joy and a blessing those of us in the western hemisphere would enjoy.
Fellow believers, regardless of where you are, it is vital that we return to Biblical principles, including in the public square, and most definitely when it comes to Israel. God’s Word warns of curses if we don’t.
In God’s Word, covenants were made, and God was faithful to His Word. We can depend on His covenant promises, both to Israel and to us. But I’m wondering if we will be equally faithful to covenant together to pray for our nations (Jeremiah 29:7), pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-4), and pray for Israel (Isaiah 62).
Will you commit to pray for those things every day for at least the next week and see what God will do? We never know how a prairie fire of prayer might spread! God is yearning to hear from us!
