There is nothing like a visit to Israel! Visiting the places so near and dear to our Christian faith is amazing, and a trip that does only that would be incredible.

But very special things happen when we combine a wonderful itinerary of incredible sites with life-changing, unique experiences and deep friendships that last a lifetime.

I was reminded of that last week when our February 2023 tour group regathered for a reunion. Words cannot express what happens in human hearts and minds while taking in everything an EXPERIENCE ISRAEL TOUR has to offer. Then, seeing it continue months and years later brings unbelievable joy.

Interestingly, as touching as it is to visit places such as the Garden Tomb, Mount of Olives, Sea of Galilee and so many other sites, conversation at our reunions is always dominated by something different: the experiences. Reminiscing about meeting Holocaust survivors, hearing from Jewish, Arab and Palestinian pastors, and reliving the joy as we sang and danced together on the Sea of Galilee are sweet reminders that our tours are unique.

Add to that, the friendships made that continue to grow, and it is a recipe for praise. Our gathering was a great example. Those who met on the tour stay in contact with one another, attend Bible studies together, reach out in love toward one another, and yes…plan reunions together. Those who worked to put our reunion together did a magnificent job and it was an event we will never forget!

Our hosts managed to include our out-of-town tour guests as well, as we heard from many of them via the wonders of technology. Additionally, we continued the fun that was began in Israel by joining in a very enthusiastic contest to find specific items (such as Galilee boats, David’s sling, etc) reminiscent of our trip together. Of course, the fellowship while viewing photos from the tour was sweet!

Friends, a trip to Israel is so much more than just seeing where Bible stories took place. Being there puts you into the pages of Scripture and you will never read your Bible the same! Beyond that, the experiences are truly more than words can describe.
