Mosab Hassan Yousef is the eldest son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, one of Hamas’ founders. Raised as his father’s heir apparent, Mosab witnessed murder and terror carried out by his father’s organization and he became determined not to follow in his father’s footsteps, but rather fight against seemingly all his father stood for.
Mosab ultimately became a spy for Israel’s Shin Bet and helped thwart many terror attacks. Now an outspoken advocate on behalf of Israel, he recently toured the area where the October 7 massacre took place. While there, he was interviewed by Ofir Gendelman, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Arabic Media Spokesperson. He spoke of growing up in UNRWA schools, the proliferation of hatred for Israel, Hamas’ charter, and the need to extinguish the jihadist mentality of Hamas.
The article also contains a short 3-minute clip of Mosab Hassan Yousef’s remarks to the Israeli mission at the UN.
Along the way Mosab met Jesus. Though many of his thoughts and ideas seem to skew toward New Age, I pray that his salvation in Jesus draws him to clearly understand the sustaining grace of the One who rescued him from evil.
