The celebration is fading and its time to go to work! While we will be forever grateful for the Supreme Court’s ruling in the Dobbs Case to overturn Roe v Wade, it also signals a time for more Christian involvement, not less!

I am reminded of Jesus’s parable of the faithful and evil servants in Luke 12:35-48, in which Jesus instructed those awaiting their master to gird their waist and keep their lamps burning. We are told to be ready because we don’t know when our Master will return!

Jesus, then, hones in on the wise and faithful steward, pronouncing blessings upon those the master finds doing his business when he returns. If the master returns to find his servants mistreating the people, the master’s wrath is poured out. (verse 46) The passage then ends with Jesus’s familiar statement:

For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

Dear friends, America has been given SO much, and we are stewards of our Master, Jesus! In fact, God entrusted America to be the guardian of His Word and His ways. He allowed this exceptional nation to be built on principles of His Word. His intent is that we are good stewards, particularly in these last days when evil is rising from every crack and crevice.

Much, including the life of the unborn, has been committed to us, and many believe standing for sanctity of life is one of the most important God-given responsibilities we bear. It is not the government’s responsibility…it is our responsibility. So, now that Roe is overturned, what will we do to help hundreds of thousands of pregnant women and unborn babies? We say we are for life. Our Master is returning, and it is time for us, as His stewards, to step up and be wise stewards of what He has put before us!

“How do we do that?” is actually a great question. Fortunately, those in positions to know and understand the need are already at work. Recently, two stalwart organizations, Alliance Defending Freedom and Family Research Council teamed up for a Celebration of Life and it was off the charts, and they answered that question! Fellow servants of the Most High God, let’s take the first step in stewardship by considering the path forward laid out by these experts.

Carve out some time. These are marching orders from our King!
