Hi friends! Has your faith been refined as gold or burned as chaff? Take a quick look at 1 Peter 1:7 and Matthew 3:11-12:
…the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. ….I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Both individually and as the body of Christ, we have been ordained for this period of history. Particularly those of us in America have had it easy, but it is time to prepare for the Refiner’s fire! Our Lord God is a consuming fire, a jealous God (Deuteronomy 4:24), and the Bride of Christ (the body of believers) is being prepared for the Bridegroom!
Here is how Pastor Jack Hibbs recently described our place in history:
IN THESE DAYS that we are living in, please know that we could not have not been placed at such a more strategic time then now!
As we look around we are hearing from more and more people that they know someone or they once attend a church that has now reopened their doors only to reopen wrong by having become WOKE rather that HOLY.
I know its sad but you must take heart dear follower. These tough times have served us well as they revealed what kind of foundations (if any) we had been building upon.
Like never before, all around the world, and at the same time – The LORD is revealing who and what is authentic and real. This truth is being lived out as our individual faith is being tested. This goes also for the local church and it’s pulpit.
There is only one way for you to survive this age and Paul gave us the answer… “Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.” – 1Tim. 4:16.
This is what you and I must personally maintain.
This is what a woke church must return to.
This is what defines a real pulpit from a showcase of talent.
Be fearless in the Refiner’s fire, as your faith is refined as pure gold!
