“Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote…that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.” ~ Samuel Adams, Founding Father, United States of America
Today is election day, and arguably one of the most important in our lifetimes. It is absolutely critical for those of us who call Jesus our Lord and Savior to vote! Not only is it our right as American citizens, but our privilege as Christians to VOTE BIBLICALLY!
We have all heard (and are fed up with) the political ads telling us how terrible the other party’s candidates are. Regardless of which political party you espouse, I pray you will ignore the messages proclaimed by political ads and ask yourself, “What does the Bible have to say about the issues of our day?”
We need moral absolutes. We need appropriate law and order. We need sound, Biblical fiscal responsibility. Our religious freedoms must be preserved. Those are Biblical principles.
If you have already voted, good for you! If you have not voted, please take your civic responsibility seriously. I believe God has given us (believers) a very short window of opportunity to rise up and prepare for the soon return of our Lord Jesus. We must be about the Father’s business, including fulfilling our God-given privilege to vote Biblically.
Please pray…then go vote!
