Welcome back, dear friends!  It is my hope that you have become intrigued by all we’ve studied to this point, as it relates to what is happening in the world today.  2 Timothy 2:15 teaches us to be diligent to present ourselves approved to God, accurately handling the word of truth.  It is certainly my prayer that we focus on the truth of God’s Word and not become distracted by today’s events, and that we view today’s events not only through geopolitical lens, but also through the lens of Scripture.  God would approve of that!

This week we will look at additional Biblical prophecies of various nations.  Israel is obviously the key player in end time events, and we’ve found that Ezekiel 38 provides clear identification of nations involved in the Northern Invasion.  In addition, we discovered in our group teaching that the US does not seem to be mentioned specifically in events of the last days.

So, when it comes to end time prophecy, is it all contained in Ezekiel’s prophecy, or does the Bible mention other nations?  Without doubt, the Bible contains incredible prophesies concerning other nations!  During this week’s Individual Study we’ll look at the prophetic destruction of Damascus, Syria; a passage from Psalms that some believe indicates the possibility of another end time battle in the Middle East; Isaiah’s prophecy regarding Egypt and Assyria; and Zechariah’s prophecy concerning Jerusalem.

This week’s prayer focus is from Psalm 83:2-3:

For behold, your enemies make an uproar and those who hate You have exalted themselves.  They make shrewd plans against Your people, and conspire together against Your treasured ones.

Throughout history Israel’s enemies have made an uproar and have exalted themselves, making plans and conspiring to harm God’s chosen people.  Prophecy teaches that the Prince of Peace will rule and reign over His chosen city one day.  Salvation in Jesus is the only way to peace for Israel and her enemies.  In the days ahead, plant your prayers of peace firmly on the solid truth that our Prince is coming soon!  Maranatha, Lord Jesus…and meanwhile, bring peace to the hearts of all through the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ!
