The wilderness and the desert will be glad,
And the Arabah will rejoice and blossom;
Like the crocus
It will blossom profusely
And rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy.

It is fun to watch the Lord bring prophecy to fulfillment, isn’t it!  The prophet Isaiah tells us of a desert (Arabah) that will blossom profusely, and today we are seeing the Arabah (or Arava) desert blossom, thanks to God’s hand on the land, and the brilliance God has poured out on the Jewish people.  Take a look at this 3 1/2 minute video to see for yourself:

I’ve been there, and I can tell you that the fruit and vegetables in Israel are bigger and have better color than any fruit and vegetables I’ve ever seen anywhere else.  It’s amazing!  The return of the Jews to their land brought ingenuity and God’s blessing.  So much so, that the desert is now blooming in many places in Israel!  Prophecy is being fulfilled right before our very eyes!

Indeed, the Lord will comfort Zion;
He will comfort all her waste places.
And her wilderness He will make like Eden,
And her desert like the garden of the Lord;
Joy and gladness will be found in her,
Thanksgiving and sound of a melody.
