The polls closed minutes ago and Israelis have made their voices heard at the ballot box in potentially record number. The world now awaits the results. Here are some news points:
- V15 bused in thousands of Israeli Arabs to the polls. It is believed that the Obama administration may be providing support to V15 in an attempt to unseat Netanyahu.
- Hamas encouraged Arab voters to cast ballots for Joint List (a far left-leaning party) This does not bode well for conservatives.
- Exit polls show a very close race between Likud and Zionist Union. Pre-election polls suggested a growing lead for Zionist Union, but exit polls seem to indicate differently.
- Negotiations to build coalitions are already taking place, and will definitely heat up in the days ahead as more is known about the results.

Friends, we have prayed for God to grant wisdom and for Him to bring to power who He sees fit. That is in accord with God’s will. Still, the votes are not counted and God is no respecter of time (because He lives outside of it!) Let’s continue to pray that wisdom will reign down upon Israeli leaders, and that the vote count will come out favorable to those who will walk according to God’s ways.
Stay tuned….!
