Well done, prayer warriors!  Did you know that when you pray according to the will of God, He hears that prayer and answers it?  (1 John 5:14)  When you pray for the peace of Jerusalem, you are praying straight from Psalm 122…definitely according to His will!  He has heard your prayers, so press on for more!

On Wednesday, we Prepared to Pray in Confidence for Persecuted Believers.  Please take time to review, then return to this page.

Now, confidently enter into prayer for brothers and sisters around the world who face persecution.  Here are some prayer points to guide you:

• Pray that the Lord will show you how to experience oneness with persecuted believers.
• Pray specifically for those being persecuted for their faith. Why not start with Pastor Saeed Abedini, then move on to others whose names you will find on the Be Heard website.  Pray for mercy, but also pray that God grants them courage and supernatural strength if He chooses not to rescue them as He did the apostle Peter.  (Many who are being persecuted pray not for release, but that God will use the giving up of their lives to reach many for the sake of Christ.)
• In the name of Jesus, please pray that God will shake the leaders of the 50 countries where persecution is the worst.  Pray country-by-country, and for their leaders by name if you know the names. (To find a list of those specific countries, go to Voice of the Martyrs’ Prayer Map or Open Doors’ World Watch List.)
• Pray for those who persecute. (Matthew 5:44)  This may be our toughest assignment, but let’s be faithful to it.  Pray for an openness of heart and mind, and for Jesus to reveal His love and peace to them.  Pray that persecutors would come to know the One who died for their sins, that they may have life.  Pray that grace and mercy will supernaturally pour out of them.

Pray confidently and pray fervently, my friends.  For when we serve a prayer-hearing, prayer-answering, miracle-working God, the fervent prayers of righteous people avails much!
