Franklin Graham: “People are dying for their faith,” while some Muslims run from Sharia law

Franklin Graham, President and CEO of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, has visited many countries, meeting the needs of people and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the globe.  He has visited places such as Sudan and Iraq where Christians are under attack.

On Friday (8/15/14), in an On the Record interview with Greta Van Susteren, Graham stated that Christians are “dying for their faith.”  Reports are that Christians in places such as Syria and Iraq are being crucified and beheaded, and that entire families are being buried alive.  The atrocities are unimaginable, but are happening with incredible frequency.  Christians in those areas are attempting to flee, though many are not making it to a safe place.

Rev Graham went on to say, “Muslim people too are fleeing because they do not want to live under this kind of regime. And this is Islam. And people who follow the Koran, the Koran gives them the basis for doing this.”

As believers, it is important to understand that we are in a battle.  In many countries, we are not losing our lives for the sake of our beliefs, but we have multitudes of brothers and sisters in Christ who are.  Friends, we must pray, and we must understand the times in which we live.  Muslim people are not our enemy.  But Islam is definitely an ideology that Satan is using, and (as Franklin Graham stated), their holy book (the Koran/Qur’an) provides basis for killing anyone who does not adhere to Qur’anic teaching.  The battle has just begun and Christians must be aware of the ultimate ambition of those who follow Islam: world-wide domination.

Suit up for battle, fellow believers!  There is no safe place on the planet, and the battle is coming to a town near you!  But rest assured:

The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.  ~Proverbs 21:31 (NLT)
