Hi friends!  Stay tuned for our next Bible study lesson later tonight, but I want to bring your attention to relevant information to our study.  We have studied briefly about the apocalyptic Shia theology of Iranian ayatollahs, and that theology is being born out in today’s news.

Shia Muslims, led by Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, hold to the belief that the Muslim god, Allah, has called them to bring about chaos, establish a world-wide caliphate, and usher in the coming of the twelfth imam, the Islamic messiah.  Shia leaders are actively attempting to control territory in the Middle East, and have their sights set ultimately on the annihilation of Israel (whom they call, “Little Satan”) and the US (whom they call, “Great Satan”).

This is a spiritual battle…a battle between God’s goodness and righteousness, and Satanic evil.  I believe it is important for us, as believers, to understand the nature of the battle, and to become prayer warriors.

Ephesians 6:12-13: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.  Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
