Fellow travelers, we’re taking a break from our study today in order to respond to two important Scriptural admonitions:
- Bless Israel (Genesis 12:3)
- Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122)
Please take a few minutes to look up those verses, then respond in prayer. One way to bless Israel is to pray for her peace…and we are responding to two commands at once! That pleases our Lord! Please pray that the Prince of Peace will rule and reign in the hearts and minds of Jews, Arabs, Palestinians, Persians, and every other people group in the Middle East. There are personal blessings reserved for those who do!
Friends, be sure to come back tomorrow! We are turning our focus squarely on the re-birth of Israel and the next two days of study are especially critical to fully understanding the times in which we live. Your treasure chest is sure to fill to the brim!

Looking for the Blessed Hope 
I know that praying for the blessing and peace of Jerusalem blesses us overtime, but I believe these blessings can have an immediate effect as well. When I take a few minutes to have quiet time with God and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, God gives me peace and strength almost right away. For those moments (and hopefully all the time), my own worries and schedule melt away. If I keep my focus on God, the peace of Jerusalem, and the Blessed Hope of Christ’s return, I can stand firm no matter what happens in my life. It’s as if God has simply said “Peace, Be Still!” to the storms of this life.
