Hi friends!  As I sorted through some pictures, I decided to post a second article today containing some odds and ends from Israel.

First, the food!  I’ve talked about the fertile land and the incredible ability to grow all kinds of things in areas where land is not so fertile.  Take a look at some of these fruits, veggies, spices, nuts, bread etc from outdoor markets:

Israel is also a huge exporter of flowers!  All sorts of beautiful things grow there!

In Israel, all 18-year-olds are required to serve in the military…guys for 3 years, girls for 2.  Thus, lots of young soldiers patrolling areas, often with automatic weapons over their shoulders!  They are very friendly and will almost always pose for photos!

Finally, for some of us, one of our favorite things was……….

Yummmm!  Everything (including Magnum ice cream) tastes better in Israel!
