Our Visit to the Children’s Safe House

I’m putting up a second post today because I want to show you some of the most precious kids in the whole wide world!  While in northern Israel, we entered the city of Zafed to visit with and minister to kids and staff at a children’s safe house.  Zafed is an oppressive city of Jewish mysticism (false religion), and a city frequented by celebrities in search of “spiritual experiences.”  In the midst of that, hope shines for about a dozen children, selected by an agency similar to Child Protective Services to receive services of the safe house.  These are children in the most dire of circumstances, and they come here after school, where they receive help with school work, opportunities to play, and often the only hot meal they will have all day.

The kids were so excited to have visitors…

…and they love to play!

They shared goodies with us…

…and performed for us.

We left a roomful of gifts and monetary support…

…and they said thank you!

Words don’t express how precious these little ones are, and how excited they were to have visitors!  We went there to minister to them, but I’m not sure who ministered to who!  The time we spent here was worth the entire trip!
