Matthew 5-7 is Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, which begins with what we know as the Beatitudes. Jesus almost certainly taught that sermon from this place, as it has natural acoustics which would have enabled the thousands who followed Him to hear.

Notice Mount Arbel in the background. Capernaum lies at the foot of that peak, and Matthew 8 tells us that, after this sermon, Jesus returned there and healed people. (For context, back up to the 3/15/14 review about Capernaum.)
