To my American Christian friends and followers, we are in the final countdown to our elections so I’m making another concerted effort to encourage you to vote! Never in our lifetimes has so much hung in the balance. So much of what we are voting on is SPIRITUAL, not political. Voting matters…and HOW you vote matters.

Here are some cold, hard facts:

As a regular voting resident of Arizona, I am dismayed by the Arizona statistic above, and I want to do something about it! If Christians in only one or two of those states had fulfilled their civic duty, our nation and our states would be governed by far more conservative leaders today.

But it seems we failed to learn the lesson of 2020. Here is even more grim news:

Friends, I know we are all facing battle fatigue right now. Particularly if you live in a swing state, you have watched 1000’s of brutal political ads, seen more negative political billboards than you ever thought possible, and you have heard non-stop rhetoric about how “unstable” and “unhinged” the candidates are. I’m weary of it too.

Some Christians are disgusted by the choices for president. But please stop to consider this: we are not electing a pastor or a choirboy. We are electing the most qualified leader for America, based on who is CLOSEST to our Biblical beliefs. For example: one candidate has waffled a bit on his stance against abortion. I am fully pro-life and am opposed to all abortion. But the one who has waffled will save MANY more babies than the one who believes in abortion until birth…or even afterward. It is no contest. And to say, “Neither one is truly pro-life, so I’m not voting for either of them,” is simply giving a vote to unrighteousness.

I wish we had the finest Bible-believing, God-honoring president also. But Jesus isn’t running for office!

Finally, consider this: we also get to make choices about Senators, Representatives, state legislators, etc, not to mention ballot initiatives such as abortion, legalization of illicit drugs, and many other SPIRITUAL issues! Presidents also appoint about 10,000 people to serve in agencies such as the CDC, the FDA, the FBI, and many who watch over government spending. When you elect a president, you are electing someone who will put many others in places of power. Therefore, we must choose wisely!

Thus, my plea to every American Christian, no matter where you live: please VOTE your VALUES! And beyond that, please take 10 family members and friends with you! America desperately needs Christians with strong Biblical values to stand up. Imagine for a moment if over half of those who did not vote in 2020 voted in 2024, this election would not be remotely close.

Let’s prove George Barna and the rest of the pollsters wrong! Let’s show up in the largest numbers ever!
