Happy Saturday, dear friends! Today’s post will be a bit longer than usual, so you’re given an off ramp halfway through. However, I hope you’ll stick with it to the end!

Do you feel it? The shadows of darkness in our nation grow wider and more threatening with every passing day. A spiritual battle is raging, and like frogs in a pot of boiling water, I fear Christians will fail to recognize the danger until it is too late to leap from the cauldron that will surely boil us to death otherwise.

It remains my belief that God uniquely called Israel (Isaiah 43:10-12) and Christians (Acts 1:8) as witnesses to testify of His eternal greatness. Israel and America are the only nations on planet earth founded upon Biblical principles, so is it any wonder that spiritual battles rage in both places? Both were meant to stand together, which is why I believe it is so important for American Christians to exercise their faith in the public arena…including the ballot box. Israel and America are to be beacons of righteousness, and we are at war with evil. We must fight for righteousness!

Today, let’s focus on America, where evil is loose and Christian frogs in the pot are far too oblivious to the rising temperatures. My intent is not to offend, but what I must say in light of the spiritual battle may be controversial. For clarity, please stick with me through the explanations below.

Here is my statement: There is no conceivable way a person legitimately calls themselves a Christian, yet either purposely does not vote, or votes for a person or proposition aligned with the Democrat platform.

Regarding voting, it is a God-given responsibility for those of us given a government based on Judeo-Christian principles. Living out our faith in every area makes it our duty to participate in electing our government officials. Failing to vote hands the battle for righteousness over to the unrighteous! How can that be Godly?

Regarding the Democrat platform, have you read it and compared it to the Republican platform? I get it…you may not like Donald Trump. But we are not electing an altar boy, a pastor or a church elder, so maturity calls us to get beyond that. When we cast a ballot for president, we are actually selecting 5,000 government-appointed employees who will carry out the policies of the elected president. Like him or not, Donald Trump is the most pro-life, pro-Israel candidate running for president. He is not perfect. Are you?

Likewise, we are voting for dozens more Senators, Representatives, state officials and city officials who all sign on to a party platform. Frankly, I’m not a big fan of either party because both are dysfunctional, but one platform is CLEARLY more aligned with Biblical values than the other. What the party says they stand for matters.

Below, I will provide some examples of America’s slide into the entrapment of demonic strongholds, but for those who don’t want to read on, let’s end with this: By God’s grace, the fate of America (and the world) rests with His people! If Christians simply show up to vote and vote according to Biblical values, this election will not even be close. But, will we? We are on the brink of sliding completely off the Judeo-Christian foundation upon which our nation was founded. ONLY Christians can restore America to any semblance of order, so America needs your vote.

If you are not registered to vote, time is running out. Every state is different, but Arizona’s deadline is Monday, October 7. (Click here to register to vote in your state.) Educate yourself on the candidates and propositions. (Compare candidates in the Voter Hub of MyFaithVotes or iVoterGuide.) Finally, VOTE! Most states have various ways to vote, so mail in your ballot, vote early in person, vote on election day or any other way your state allows you to vote. Elections are not perfect, but not voting guarantees you have no voice! Please vote!

Now, for those interested in some distinct examples of evil invading our country and evidence to support my exhortation to vote your Biblical values, here are a few:

• In my home state of Arizona, abortion is on the ballot (as it is in several other states). The measure (Proposition 139), as proposed, would allow abortion up to the time of birth, turning Arizona into one of the most radical abortion states in the nation. A recent poll shows 51% of Arizonans in favor of that bill and only ~30% adamantly opposed. Where are the Christians? Will we turn out in full force on election day? Will Christians stand for righteousness and vote NO on this murderous proposition? (A full 1/3 of Christians registered to vote don’t do so. That could be the difference in millions of babies losing their lives.)
• Our country is becoming a demonic stronghold. Eric Metaxas and others joined forces to produce Letter to the American Church, warning of “the parallels between early 1930’s Nazi Germany and other totalitarian regimes with what is happening in America today and how the church has been mostly silent facing this evil.” I spoke to a local pastor about the film and offered to finance the showing of it, but was told, “It is too divisive.” Meanwhile, no teachings I’m aware of on abortion, child mutilation, sex trafficking, “gender” issues, sovereignty of borders, fiscal responsibility or any other SPIRITUAL issues now branded as “political.” There are thousands of churches in this same boat. What’s wrong with the American church? Where is our courage to fight for righteousness?
• With absolutely no accountability of where the money goes, the current administration has poured hundreds of billions of dollars into Ukraine and $1.5B more from FEMA into services for illegal immigrants. Now, there is not enough in the coffers to assist with the desperate needs of tax-paying Americans in North Carolina who lost everything in the horrific storm last week. Your tax dollars are spent everywhere other than for those who have actually paid taxes in America.
• Worse still, according to Elon Musk, the government is actually PREVENTING assistance from reaching those in need. Musk recently tweeted this: Just received this note from a SpaceX engineer helping on the ground in North Carolina. FEMA is not merely failing to adequately help people in trouble, but is actively blocking citizens who try to help! “Hey Elon, update here on site of Asheville, NC. We have powered up two large operating bases for choppers to deliver goods into hands. We’ve deployed 300+ starlinks and outpour is it has saved many lives. The big issue is FEMA is actively blocking shipments and seizing goods and services locally and locking them away to state they are their own.” 
• At the border, not only have over 10 million illegals (many of them criminals or terrorists) and tons of drugs entered our country, but over 320,000 unaccompanied migrant children are now unaccounted for. Our government doesn’t know where they are or what’s happening to them. Here’s a hint: They are sex slaves. To make the situation even worse, evidence is now surfacing that some (not all) border agents, under duress and simply hanging on to make a paycheck, have been complicit in sending those children on to their next “handler,” no questions asked. Where are the whistleblowers? Who is willing to stand up and say, “No way! Not on my watch!” (Not 100% confirmed, but solid undercover evidence here.)
• A year ago, Hamas attacked Israeli communities, killing, raping, maiming and kidnapping innocent Israelis. When Israel responded to that attack, the Biden administration withheld much needed munitions and slow walked many more shipments. Almost immediately the Biden administration called for a ceasefire! Fast forward to recent days… Following 10 months of rocket barrages from Hezbollah, Israel finally turned their sights north to take care of their terror attacks. How did America respond? “Ceasefire!” If that wasn’t enough, Iran fired over 180 rockets toward Israel last week. Israel has vowed to respond, but what has Biden’s team said? “Don’t escalate this…and don’t go after Iran’s nuclear facilities.” Iran has consistently vowed to wipe Israel off the map, yet the American administration handcuffs Israel at every turn. Genesis 12:3, Joel 3:2 and other passages clearly state the consequences of failing to stand with Israel. The US is on a slippery slope.

There are literally hundreds more blatant examples of how far off track our government has gone. But you get the idea. There is no doubt America is headed for destruction, and yes, the Bible indicates Israel will stand alone in the end. But must it be on our watch? Christians can make a difference, but we can’t flop around in a pot of boiling water and not expect to be consumed.
