“Oh no! Why are you getting political on a blog dedicated to loving Israel and her Messiah?”

Great question…and thanks for asking! This post may seem out of place, but what’s going on in the Middle East goes hand-in-hand with American elections. Stick with me as I explain:

• Christians have walked away from our God-given responsibility to live out our faith in EVERY area of life, including civic engagement.
• Christians have allowed godless humanists to dictate how our cities, counties, states and nation are governed, and that is in direct opposition to what our founders’ intended.
• Our nation was, without a doubt, established on a firm Judeo-Christian foundation, yet we have allowed that foundation to crumble and be destroyed by those who hate God and everything He stands for.
• If true followers of Jesus Christ repent, then rise up, no power on earth could stop us from bringing Judeo-Christian values back to America.
• God’s Word is clear about what happens to nations who do not stand with Israel. Genesis 12:3 tells us we are blessed only if we bless Israel, and Joel 3:2 warns that every nation who divides the land and scatters the Jews will come under God’s judgment. Thus, it is our Biblical responsibility to fight for our nation’s good. In fact, our very own welfare is tied to that of our cities, states and nation. (Jeremiah 29:7)

The list could stretch for pages but suffice it to say that short of Christians engaging in the battle for America, our nation will find itself beyond the point of return. Not to mention on the wrong side of God’s blessings and curses according to Genesis 12:3.

Therefore, my pledge is to do my best to encourage you to get in the game in whatever capacity God calls you. Some may run for office. Some may become precinct chairmen. Some may be “influencers” among family and friends. Some may get involved in volunteer projects that help us elect conservative candidates. My prayer is that ALL OF US will register to vote (if not already done so) and that we will VOTE OUR VALUES in the primaries still to come, and in the election in November.

Your faith matters, your voice matters and your vote matters, to throughout election season, my commitment is to share truthfully about the state of our nation and provide ways in which we can all make a difference. Our nation and our nation’s relationship to Israel are at stake, so we cannot sit on the sidelines while secular humanists succeed in driving America off the cliff. I hope you will join with myriads of Christians who are waking up, determined to fight for our faith, our families, our freedom, and our values.

It all starts with us as believers. God’s first assignment to us is not necessarily easy, but very necessary. Here it is:

¹⁴ if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
