During a speech at a Democrat rally in a South Carolina church on Monday, Biden was heckled while droning on about the demise of our democracy. The heckler was apparently ranting about Israel’s attacks on Gaza. Once the hecklers were ushered away, Biden reassured the crowd he understood their passion, and that he has been quietly working to get Israel out of Gaza. (Yes, he said the secret part out loud!) (See footage here.)

Unfortunately, that’s not the first time the topic has arisen. On December 8, 2023, exactly a month before the current comment, The Times of Israel and Politico reported the Biden administration pressuring Israel to conclude the war with Hamas before the end of 2023. 

Couple that with the fact Biden was willing to park the world’s largest aircraft carriers in the region, but refused to use them, and it appears abundantly clear that Joe Biden has no intention of actually supporting or backing Israel. Moreover, political pressure and threats from key voting blocks are more than enough to coerce Biden to completely turn his back on Israel. With an election looming, it is very difficult to imagine that Biden will suddenly grow a spine and stand with America’s most faithful ally. (In fact, he won’t even grow a spine to deter attacks on AMERICAN bases in Iraq and Syria, where AMERICAN soldiers’ lives are in jeopardy.)

Should we be surprised? Ultimately, Bible prophecy points to the fact that no nation will stand with Israel when the soon-coming invasion from the north (described in Ezekiel 38-39) takes place. That passage teaches us that the fury of our Lord God will arise and His wrath will be poured out upon Israel’s attackers. (Ezekiel 38:18-23, Ezekiel 39:11-16) Israel may be lacking worldly support at that time, but heavenly support will surely be there in abundance!

Meanwhile, as the American administration fumbles the football in Israel, they also seem to be blinded to what awaits from other enemies. While Russia toys with Ukraine, the US continues to send billions to fight for Ukrainian borders while our own are wide open and flooded with fighting-age men (terrorists), salivating to be part of a major internal attack within America’s borders. 

The silent killer, though, may well be China. They sit silently in the shadows, watching our nation slowly commit national suicide. Covertly (or not so much!) they continue to spy on our military, our utilities and our energy sectors, while poisoning our young people with fentanyl and brainwashing them through social media such as Tik Tok.

However, as dark as our future appears to be at times, we can have hope! Why? Because, as believers in Jesus Christ, we understand this world is not our home! We are only strangers passing through! 

²⁰ For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, ²¹ who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

Because of that, we have hope…hope that will not disappoint! Our struggles here on this earth are temporary compared to the glory of eternity with Jesus! So, keep your head up, dear friends! Our redemption draws near! (Luke 21:28)
