When Evil is Allowed to Run Rampant

If you are a student of God’s Word, you are well aware that this world is not our home, but rather our citizenship is in heaven! (Philippians 3:20) In fact, we are pilgrims passing through a world given over to the prince of the power of the air who works disobedience into every life possible (Ephesians 2:2-3). 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12 describes these last days as days of lawlessness according to the work of Satan.

Evil has been unleashed to a degree we have never seen before. Evil is called good and good is called evil. Murder is not only condoned but legalized and encouraged. Taking what doesn’t belong is so commonplace no one seems to bat an eye. Lying, stealing and cheating are normal.

Meanwhile, churches become less and less relevant as pastors water down the Gospel or just put it aside altogether. Along with that, secularism is seeping into the church at alarming rates, and masculinity is disappearing from the religious landscape. Here in America, our nation was blessed with an incredibly solid, Biblical foundation, yet we have allowed history to be rewritten and “social justice” to become a false front.

Across the globe, in places where borders became nonexistent, we watched floods of Islamic radicals invade. Europe is virtually unrecognizable, and America is circling the drain. Perhaps you think this is an over-exaggeration but let me prove otherwise.

Last week, in major cities across the world, including places in America such as New York City and Washington DC, extreme Shiite Islamic Ashura rituals took place in broad daylight. Here are some examples:

Granted, in America, even radical Islamists have freedom of speech, but the question is: why have we loosened our borders to allow such evil to freely enter and impose evil on our cities? It happened first in Europe, then spread like wildfire to America and around the world.

But what is the real issue here? Dare I say some radicals are much more willing to express their beliefs and “evangelize” than most Christians? Dare I say, as Christians abdicated our responsibilities in education, health, government and other things to secularism, we now find ourselves on the outside looking in? Dare I say Christians, in large part, are satisfied with “feel good” messages rather than the pure, unadulterated truth from God’s Word?

How long will we be satisfied to take a backseat while evil runs rampant in our country and in our world? Dear Christian friends, this is our time! It is our time to stand firm, regardless of what it cost. It is our time to fight for righteousness, regardless the opposition. It is our time to shout the Good News of Jesus Christ every chance we’re given, regardless of who we might offend. The Gospel of Jesus Christ will be offensive to all who refuse to receive it, but it is life-giving water to those who drink from it freely!

Be radical in Jesus’ name and for His glory!

PS: We’ll focus on how to live in the midst of evil days tomorrow, so check in again!
