Well, just 10 days away from departure to Israel and I’m just as excited about this trip as I was the very first time I stepped foot on Israeli soil. I absolutely love the land and love the people, and I am tremendously intrigued by the culture. Here are a few things I’ve learned about Israelis:
- They are incredibly passionate! When they stand for something, they stand strong and they act upon it.
- In their passion, it often sounds as though they are yelling and arguing with one another! (The Hebrew language has a way of sounding that way to our western ears!) However, that fuels strong ideas and drive to come to solutions.
- They focus not on problems, but on true solutions. As a nation with seemingly very few natural resources, they view their people as their strongest resources…and they are brilliant!
- Israelis often think “outside the box,” and are, therefore, incredibly innovative.
Between now and my departure, I want to share a series of 12-minute (or less) videos with you that “tell the story” of Israel’s brilliance in much better ways than I can. I encourage you to take the time to see each one…and I suspect you will not only find them very interesting, but will gain deeper appreciation for Israel than ever before! Enjoy!
Shalom!
