Israelis have already begun their Passover commemoration, as it commenced at sundown today. Here in America, we’re still a few hours from sundown. But regardless of where you are in the world, I wish you “Chag Pesach Semaech…Happy Passover!”
As followers of Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, our roots are in Judaism. It doesn’t mean we must become Jewish, but it means the more we understand the shadows cast by Jewish feasts, the more we understand the substance of Jesus as the fulfillment of them all!
16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day— 17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.~Colossians 2:16-17
I encourage you to join us as we study Looking Back, Looking Forward, where we dig into God’s Word for nuggets of truth that solidify the foundation of our faith.
Also, if you have never heard Amir Tsarfati’s teaching about the Passover, it is a “must!” As an Israeli Messianic Jew, his perspective on Passover will greatly encourage you! (There is also a special appearance by Marty Goetz!) Though recorded a couple years ago, Amir ends that teaching with a message more appropriate today than ever! Enjoy!
