Hey gang! There is a method to my madness, so I have postponed today’s “tour rewind.” We’ll be back on track with it tomorrow, though, and I have a really special weekend planned for you! So, be sure to follow. Meanwhile, I want to rejoice in the Lord today…
You might be surprised at just how many Jews have come to faith in Yeshua (Jesus)! Not only is the Holy Spirit moving mightily in Israel and the rest of the Middle East, but one ministry in particular is on the front lines, sharing Yeshua with Jews and Arabs alike!
One for Israel is a very vibrant, evangelistic ministry made up of Jewish believers in Yeshua, who believe that the best way to bless Israel is with Messiah! To that end, several facets of their ministry are aimed at carrying out Biblical mandates to share the Good News about the Messiah to Jews and Arabs, to disciple new believers and to train pastors to effectively lead their congregations in following God’s Word.
They have a substantial online library of educational articles and videos, they offer Bible-based degrees via their accredited Israel College of the Bible, and they have a library of hundreds of testimonies of Jews and Arabs who have come to faith in Messiah! You can find those testimonies here.
In fact, here is an example of one such testimony:
While in Israel in November, our tour group saw the fruit of this ministry first hand! We visited the OFI campus, we met with pastors (Arab, Palestinian and Messianic Jews) who were trained via Israel College of the Bible, and we witnessed the testimony of the astounding work being done there.
I invite you to rejoice in what the Lord is doing in and through ministries like this who are pursuing all the Lord puts before them. Israel is a very complicated place and, because of age-old conflicts and differences in perspective, it is especially difficult to be a believer in Yeshua. (For example, think about how an Arab or Palestinian believer might view God’s promises to Israel, given the common narrative they likely grew up hearing.)
Beyond rejoicing in the Lord’s work there, if you are looking for or praying about where to make a year-end gift, I encourage you to consider blessing One for Israel. The work they do is legitimate and transparent, I know some of their hardworking staff, and they manage their funding appropriately. Learn more about One for Israel.
PS: We’re approaching the conclusion of our tour rewind and the best is yet to come! Stay tuned tomorrow, and throughout the weekend!
