IDF: Taking Care of Business

As you likely know, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) thwarted a major terrorist attack aimed at Israeli citizens over the weekend. For several months, Israeli intelligence tracked the movement of Iranian operatives planning and moving drones into position to attack Israel. Just prior to those operatives activating the plan, the IDF launched a massive attack on the facilities in Syria from which the attack was to commence.

Here is how the IDF describes their operation:

Israel remains safe and secure because of their superior intelligence and military capability. At present, it is as though a dragnet is draped over the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and their terrorist proxies in Lebanon, Syria, the Gaza Strip and elsewhere. Indeed, God has blessed them with great intelligence capability and military strength.

As the economies of Russia, Turkey and Iran continue to spiral downward, the lure of capturing spoil and seizing plunder (Ezekiel 38:12) will ignite the War of Gog and Magog prophesied by the prophet Ezekiel. The stage is set, though many believe Iran will be satisfied to antagonize Israel until the 2020 election in America, when they hope to gain relief from sanctions by a more lenient administration.

Meanwhile, Russia is not exactly “friendly” toward Iran, as they are giving Israel free reign to take care of business against Iranian forces in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. That alliance is still developing.

Regardless of the immanency of the Ezekiel 38 invasion, of this we can be certain: God is in control! He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. (Psalm 121:4) On that day, His fury will mount up in anger and His zeal and blazing wrath will spring forth on behalf of His chosen land and His chosen people. (Ezekiel 38:18-22) He will make His name known!

I will magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the Lord.

~Ezekiel 38:23

As followers of Christ, we have the assurance of His promises, and peace in knowing that He is faithful. There is no fear for those whose trust is in Him!
