Assad: “I’ll Launch a Missile at Ben Gurion Airport [Israel]!”

Israel routinely monitors the coming and going of weapons meant for transfer between Iran and Hezbollah (in Lebanon).  Those missiles are meant for Israel, thus the IDF takes action when movement occurs that is threatening to Israel.

Over the past few months, several strikes have been executed by the IDF, destroying weapon storage facilities and other strategic targets inside Syria.  That has drawn the ire of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad who, in a statement delivered by Russia, stated:

“Attack again and I’ll launch a missile at Ben Gurion Airport….Syrian honor is above all else.”  (Israel National News, 1/28/2018)

This is only one of many examples of ramped up threats and activity as we see Jerusalem become a heavy stone (Zechariah 12:1-3).  As Jerusalem continues to dominate the news, we are wise to consider what the Bible tells us about living in these last days.

Amir Tsarfati will join Pastor Jack Hibbs at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills at 6:00pm (Pacific) tonight for “Happening Now.”  If you’re in the area, catch it live.  If not, catch it live streamed here.

PS: We’ll return to our exploration of the City of David tomorrow.  See you then!
